SAB invites unemployed youth to apply for Service Traineeships / Learnerships 2024.

Internship Location: Hop farms, George, South Africa.
The key purpose of the role is Gain work experience or experiential learning for students in Agricultural Institutions as stipulated in the SETA’s Work Experience (WE) Grant Funding Policy in order for students to obtain qualifications.
Key outputs and responsibilities:
- PC literacy
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Work in teams
- Driver’s license
- Passion for growing
- Willing to do the harder tasks
- Ability to converse in Afrikaans will be advantageous
- Studying toward a National Diploma in Agricultural Management (or equivalent) The work experience must be a requirement to complete / obtain your Diploma
Minimum Requirements:
- Complete 12 months in service program in line with guidelines of the Seta and the Academic Institute
- Gain experience in various value chain and service departments and provide relevant support
- Learn hop farming and execute milestones as per hop farming practices
- Perform duties as outlined in the job description for each field as indicated
- Complete all academic requirements as defined in the Institutes work experience programme
