Sasol Foundation Bursaries 2025 for South African Students

The Sasol Foundation is inviting talented and financially needy South African students to apply for its prestigious Bursary Programme for the 2025 academic year.

This opportunity has been extended, with the closing date set for 13 September 2024.

The Sasol Foundation bursary is open to students pursuing undergraduate degrees in two categories: STEM and Non-STEM fields. Below is a breakdown of the bursaries and important details to guide your application.

Categories of Bursaries

1. STEM Bursaries

These bursaries are aimed at students pursuing undergraduate studies in the following Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields:

The Non-STEM bursaries are available for students from Sasol’s fence line communities (municipalities/districts around Sasol plants/operations), children of Sasol Khanyisa shareholders, and children of Sasol employees. These bursaries apply to any field of study at a University or University of Technology in South Africa.

Selection Criteria

Bursary recipients will be chosen based on the following:

Preference will be given to students with exceptional academic records and a household income of less than R600 000 per annum. Applicants must also complete Online Odyssey Psychometric Testing during the selection process. The bursary will be awarded contingent on the candidates’ 2024 end-of-year results remaining consistent with their submitted grades.
