The Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa (PSSA) invites South African students to apply for Bursary Programme 2025 academic year.

Bursary Application Closing Date: 06 October 2024

PSSA Bursaries for Pharmacy Students (2025)

Funding Available For:

  • Undergraduate BPharm students (2nd year or higher)
  • Postgraduate students (Masters/Doctoral) in Pharmacy

Undergraduate Bursary:

  • Eligibility Requirements:
    • South African citizen
    • Completed Matric
    • Studying full-time towards a BPharm qualification
    • In 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year (1st-year students not eligible)
    • Enrolled at a recognized tertiary institute in South Africa
    • PSSA student member (membership is free)
    • Passed all previous subjects with a 60%+ average at mid-year
    • Proven financial need (family income under R130,000 per annum)

Postgraduate Bursary:

  • Applications open in March 2025.
  • Eligibility Requirements:
    • South African citizen
    • Completed undergraduate studies
    • Studying full-time towards a Masters or Doctoral Pharmacy qualification
    • Enrolled at a recognized tertiary institute in South Africa
    • Must be a PSSA member

How to Apply:

  • Download and complete the PSSA Bursary Application Form 2025.
  • Submit clear copies of supporting documents (certified) including:
    • ID document
    • Full academic transcript
    • Motivational letter from a Pharmacy lecturer
    • Financial proof (parents/guardians’ income, etc.)
  • Send the completed application via email to [email protected] or fax to 0866 159 835.

Important Notes:

  • Certified copies are mandatory.
  • The bursary will not cover existing loans or debts.
  • Applicants will be contacted if shortlisted.
  • Decisions are final, with no further correspondence.

Closing Dates:

  • Undergraduate Bursary: 6 October 2024
  • Postgraduate Bursary: Opens in March 2025
