It is designed for students from Umkhanyakude, Zululand, and King Cetshwayo districts in KwaZulu-Natal.
Eligibility Criteria – Bursaries in Health Science
Applicants must meet these requirements:
- Reside in Umkhanyakude, Zululand, or King Cetshwayo districts and the catchment areas of specific hospitals.
- Be in Matric or have completed Matric.
- Be pursuing one of the eligible Health Science degrees.
- Have been accepted at a recognized public university (excluding UNISA).
- Be entering the 1st or 2nd year (4-year degrees) or 1st to 3rd year (medical degrees).
- Be studying towards their first degree (no prior degrees or diplomas).
- Have NSFAS funding or have applied for it in 2025.
- Commit to work at one of the hospitals for at least two years post-graduation.
