Rand Water is looking for a Stores Clerk

Job Purpose
Reporting to the Inventory Administrator the successful candidate will be receiving, packing and issuing of inventory daily.
Qualifications Required
- Grade 12.
- 3 years’ experience in a Stores environment.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to pass Rand Waters K53 test.
- A forklift license will be an advantage
Primary Duties
- Correct issuing of inventory as per reservation
- Receiving inventory as per required quantities on purchase orders and transfer requests
- Ensure that the quality of material received complies to site specification/standards.
- Ensure SDS is received with every hazardous item received.
- Packing inventory into proper bins using FIFO principle
- Safe material handling when inventory is packed or issued
- Monthly and bi-annual stock counts to be done accurately
- Daily stock counts to be done on daily movements of inventory
- Ensure stock availability by informing the Storekeeping Assistant of low stock levels.
- Provide full administrative support to the Storekeeping Assistant/Inventory Administrator
- Assist with driving duties (vehicle and forklift) as and when required
- Provide excellent customer service by resolving complaints and queries timeously
- Comply with all legislation and organizational policies and procedures
- Compliance to ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001
