SAMPRA invites South Africa unemployed graduates to apply for Public Relations Internship Programme for 2025.

SAMPRA (South African Music Performance Rights Association) is offering an exciting Public Relations Internship for a graduate passionate about the South African music industry. This internship is an opportunity to gain valuable experience at Universal Music Africa in Rosebank, Gauteng.
Internship Details:
- Duration: 12 months
- Stipend: R6,500.00 per month
Core Exposure Areas:
As a PR Intern at Universal Music Africa, the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in the following areas:
- Promoting the company’s music through various channels.
- Sending out press releases and press blasts to the media.
- Cold calling potential media houses to promote the company’s music.
- Inviting media to Universal Music events.
- Contacting radio stations to request artist interviews.
Key Requirements:
To apply, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Completed qualification in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- No prior work experience is required (ideal for recent graduates).
- Proof of qualification: Certified copy of transcript or qualification.
- Location: Must be close to or within a driving distance of Rosebank.
- South African citizen.
- Above average communication skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Passion for music and a positive attitude.
Additional Notes:
- Interns will be required to attend company events, some of which may occur on weekends or evenings.
- The internship will provide full exposure to the operations of a record company and invaluable experience in the South African music industry.
