BASF South Africa Trust invites students to apply for Bursaries Programme 2025 academic year.

The BASF Bursary Programme for 2025 is now open for applications. This bursary is specifically aimed at supporting Black female students (African, Coloured, and Indian) who are studying in Chemistry or Engineering Sciences. If you meet the eligibility criteria, this could be an excellent opportunity to secure financial support for your studies.

What the Bursary Covers:
This is a full-cost bursary, which will cover the following expenses:
- Tuition Fees
- Textbooks
- Accommodation
- Monthly Stipend
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for the bursary:
- South African citizen
- Female
- Black (African, Coloured, and Indian) as per BBBEE codes
- Studying towards a qualification in Chemistry or Engineering Sciences
- Studying at a recognised and accredited University or University of Technology in South Africa
- Completed 1st year of study and entering 2nd year or higher in 2025
- In financial need and meet NSFAS funding criteria
- Strong academic record
- No criminal record
- Not receiving any other bursary, scholarship, grant, or funding (except for NSFAS funding)
How to Apply:
There is no formal application form for this bursary. To apply, students need to submit an email application with the required documents. Here’s how to apply:

- Send an email to basf_za_trust@outlook.com with the subject line: “BASF Bursary 2025”.
- Required Documents:
- Certified copy of your ID document
- Certified copy of your Matric certificate/results
- Certified copy of your full academic record, including your most recent results
- Proof of your parent or guardian’s income (latest payslips if employed, audited financial statements if self-employed, affidavit if unemployed, proof of grant or pension if applicable)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) (maximum 3 pages)
- Essay (see topic below):
- Essay topic: “The current and future state of my field of study, how I will contribute when I graduate, and why I should receive financial support to study in this field.”
- Formatting: 12pt font, 1.5 line spacing, and a 2-page limit in either Microsoft Word or PDF format.

- Deadline for Applications: 10 January 2025
