Purpose

To conceptualise, develop and implement audio-visual communication and campaigns with particular focus on building and strengthening alumni community, keeping alumni informed about the University, and supporting campaigns aimed at promoting regular giving, alumni connection, instilling a Witsie identity, student pride and loyalty, and alumni recognition.

This includes:

  • Bringing together text, photographs, graphics, illustrations, infographics, layouts, digital animation, video, photography, and audio to create a range of impactful multimedia products that can be viewed on a range of devices and platforms to diverse audiences using multiple channels.
  • Using video editing software and AI tools, together with creative and technical skills, design and develop multimedia products that entertain, educate, persuade, or inform target audiences.
  • Taking photographs and videos of alumni and alumni activities, selected University, staff and student events, and conduct on camera interviews with selected subjects.
  • Cultivating global regular giving, developing giving appeals and acknowledging giving (stewardship) through multimedia communication.
  • Improving the quality, currency and comprehensiveness of the alumni database through multimedia campaigns.
  • Developing and executing multimedia communication that builds, enhances and maintains lifelong relationships and keeps alumni informed about fellow Witsies and the University

Requirements:

  • A relevant post-matric qualification in multimedia and video production
  • At least four years relevant work experience
  • Experience and ability to work as part of a team
  • You will be required to submit a portfolio of multimedia work you have produced
