The purpose of this role: The Graduate for Internal Audit assists the audit department in performing internal audits within the Group in a systematic and disciplined approach as to the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in site audits of the Group companies and branches, to ensure compliance with documented procedures and processes.
- Audit compliance of routines such as monthly stock takes and cycle counts.
- Investigate any irregularities reported.
- Analyse and document all process flows, matrixes and procedures.
- Performing control procedures.
- Conduct asset verifications.
- Conduct OHS compliance.
- Assist in the Group entity risk assessments.
- Assist in follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions.
- Assist in drafting reports.
- Draft all correspondence relating to the IAD.
- Maintain Annual Audit Plan.
- Maintain IAD registers.
- Conduct interviews.
- Maintain cloud filing.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for the internal audit team.
Requirements:
- Qualification in Accounting, Finance or Auditing.
NB. Experience in IT systems would be an advantage.
Skills andCompetencies:
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Highly confidential and trustworthy.
- Be able to work independently and be assertive.
- Must have a strong personality and communication skills.
- Have a qualification in a financial discipline.
- Computer skills on Excel and Word to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports.
- Ability to travel frequently.
- Must have own transport and drivers license.
- Afrikaans speaking and understanding advantageous.
