Position: Pre Learners x10 (Mechanical Assistant – 12 Months Contract)

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist technicians in inspecting Heavy Earthmoving Equipment.
- Support technicians with basic troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and repairs.
- Help with removing and installing components in the workshop or on customer sites.
- Assist in ordering parts and managing inventory.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including service reports, labor booking, parts returned, and expenses.
- Help compile accurate customer machine analysis reports, including Machine Inspection Reports (MIR).
- Provide general support, including housekeeping and customer service.
Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies:
- Grade 12 / N3 with the following:
- Pure Mathematics: Minimum 45% (not functional Mathematics).
- English: Minimum 45%.
- Physical Science: Minimum 45%.
- N2 / N3 with relevant theory will be advantageous (Motor/Diesel theory, and/or Electrical/Electronic theory).
- Technicians for The World certificate is a plus.
- Minimum Code B Learner’s License (light motor vehicle) is an added advantage.
- Sound literacy: Ability to read, write, and speak well.
- Sound numeracy: Good with numbers and calculations.
