Pyrotec invites students to apply for Bursary Programme 2025 academic year.
Bursary Application Closing Date: 24 January 2025.
Fields of Study Covered:
Bursaries are available for studies at NQF Level 4 to NQF Level 10 in the following fields:
- Architecture, Town Planning, and Surveying
- Business, Management, and Economics
- Engineering
- Finance
- Health Professionals and Related Clinical Services
- Human Resources
- Information Technology and Communication
- Media, Art, Literature, Design, and Graphic Design/DTP
- Natural Science and Social Science Professionals
- Quality and Regulatory Professionals
- Sales, Marketing, and Related Associate Professionals
- Sports and Fitness
Bursary Coverage:
The Pyrotec bursary covers the following expenses:
- Registration Fees
- Tuition Fees
- Textbooks (up to R5,000 per annum)
- Accommodation (in university residence or hostel)
- Transport Costs
Payments:
- Tuition and registration fees will be paid directly to the university.
- Textbook and transport allowances will be paid directly to the student.
Note: Bursary payments are made once per year.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria to apply:
- South African citizen
- AA/EE candidate
- Studying or intending to study in one of the above-listed fields of study
- Registered or accepted at a South African university
- Genuine interest in the chosen field of study
- First-year students with a minimum overall average of 70% will be given preference
- Provide proof of registration or acceptance into university
- Preference for first-year students but other students may also apply depending on the availability of funds
How to Apply:
To apply for the Pyrotec Bursary 2025, follow these steps:

- Submit the following supporting documentation:
- Certified copy of your ID document
- Certified copy of your Matric Certificate or your highest level of education
- Proof of University registration or acceptance (on university letterhead)
- Motivational letter (1 page explaining why you should be awarded the bursary)
- Proof of address (if applying for the transport allowance)
- Study quotes/invoices (including expenses for tuition, textbooks, accommodation, and transport, if applicable)
Important Dates:
- Closing Date: Applications must be submitted by 29 January 2025.
- Feedback Date: Successful candidates will be contacted by middle of February 2025. If you do not hear back by then, please consider your application unsuccessful.
