About the Role
This ICT Internship at UFS offers an incredible opportunity to gain practical experience in key areas such as database development, technical implementation, and project management. You will work alongside experienced professionals, assisting with technical projects and contributing to the success of the department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As an intern in the ICT Services department, your responsibilities will include:
- Technical Development: Assist in the development and implementation of databases.
- Data Intake Procedures: Help design and implement processes for data intake.
- Application & Program Development: Analyze, review, and write programs based on customer needs.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of all work-related information.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, inform supervisors of risks, and ensure smooth progress.
- Code Testing: Conduct code testing to ensure project success and resolve any issues promptly.
Qualifications and Requirements
To apply for the UFS ICT Internship 2025, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree at NQF Level 7 in Information Technology.
Technical Skills:
- Proven knowledge of at least 3 of the following development languages (ensure these skills are reflected in your CV):
- C# Programming Language
- Microsoft SQL 2016+
- .Net Core with MVC
- jQuery and JavaScript
- Custom .Net Project Template
- Bootstrap 4 and 5
- Object-Oriented Design and Methodology
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must not currently be enrolled in another internship or learnership program.
- No previous formal work experience required.
- Must be willing to sign an internship agreement and commit for the full year.
