Are you ready to develop your machining skills and gain valuable experience? Eskom’s Turbo Gen Services is offering an exciting opportunity for 12 Trainee Machinists at the Mechanical Workshop ERI. This position requires candidates to sign a 2-year learning programme contract, and trainees will receive a stipend according to company policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- N6 Mechanical Engineering qualification.
- Trade Test: Fitter and Turner.
Experience:
- At least 1 year of mechanical experience in rotating and stationary turbine components maintenance.
Knowledge:
- Ability to use Mechanical Measuring Equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret Component Drawings and Tolerances.
- Ability to maintain a high-quality standard of work.
- Familiar with the OSHAct 85 of 1993.
- Basic knowledge of Quality Systems.
- Ability to read, understand, and independently work to technical drawings, specifications, and unit conversions in accordance with international codes and standards.
