South African Nursery Association (SANA) invites South African students to apply for Bursary Programme for 2025 academic year.

About the SANA Bursary Programme
The SANA Bursary Programme provides financial assistance to students studying towards a Horticulture or Landscaping qualification. The bursary only covers tuition fees and is awarded for the current academic year of study. Payments are made directly to the institution.
Note: The bursary does NOT cover outstanding fees, registration fees, practical training, accommodation, travel, allowances, or prescribed books.
Benefits of the SANA Bursary
Bursary recipients will receive free SANA student membership, which offers the following benefits:
- Regular electronic newsletters with industry updates and important dates.
- A digital copy of the annual SANA Magazine.
- Invitations to the SANA TRADE FAIRS, held twice a year in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, providing insights into the nursery industry.
- Membership is valid for one year, and students must reapply annually.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview with a SANA representative in April 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the SANA Bursary, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must have completed Matric.
- Must be studying towards a Horticulture or Landscaping qualification.
- Preferably studying at undergraduate level (PhD, Masters, and BTech students will be considered on a case-by-case basis).
- Must have completed all first-year modules.
- Must have obtained a minimum of 60% for each subject.
- Must be registered for 2025 studies at a recognised South African tertiary institution.
- Must be a SANA student member or apply for membership (free of charge).

Step 2: Gather Supporting Documents
Applicants must submit clear copies of the following documents:
- Certified ID document
- Photograph (selfie/portrait/student card photo)
- Current academic record
- Certificates of all previous studies completed
- Banking details of the tertiary institution (on official letterhead)
- Proof of registration for 2025 (on official letterhead)
- Completed SANA Student Membership Application Form 2025
- Completed SANA Bursary Checklist 2025
- Motivational letter (minimum 150 words)
