About the AFHCO Bursary 2025
The AFHCO bursary aims to support students pursuing any field of study, provided that the course is at least 12 months long and aligned with the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) standards.
Bursary Value:
- The bursary is worth R50 000, which will be paid directly to the educational institution.
Important Terms and Conditions
- Random Selection Process: Winners will be selected randomly via an externally audited system in February 2025, under the supervision of AFHCO’s internal and external auditors, as well as an attorney.
- Winner Notification: Successful applicants will be notified via email by no later than 25 March 2025.
- Acceptance Deadline: Winners must accept the bursary within 4 days of receiving the email; otherwise, the award will be forfeited.
- Announcement: The names of the winners will be published on AFHCO’s online platforms by 31 March 2025.
- Identification and Residency Proof: Winners must provide a valid ID book or passport and proof of residence.
- Eligibility Verification: Proof of AFHCO tenancy (or dependency on an AFHCO tenant) is required.
- Non-Exchangeable: The bursary cannot be exchanged for cash or any other reward.
- Media Consent: Winners agree to have their names and photographs published for promotional purposes.
- Final Decision: AFHCO’s decision on winners and other related matters is final, and no correspondence will be entertained.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the AFHCO Bursary 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be an AFHCO resident or a dependent of an AFHCO tenant.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
- Must be studying or planning to study towards a qualification of at least 12 months.
- The chosen qualification must be aligned with SAQA.
