BDO South Africa invites motivated and academically talented students to apply for the BDO Thrive Bursary Programme 2026. This bursary opportunity supports aspiring Chartered Accountants who are passionate about auditing and committed to excellence.
About the BDO Thrive Bursary
BDO offers two types of bursaries as part of this programme:
1. Merit Bursary
Awarded based on academic performance, attitude, aptitude, and need:
- PGDA/CTA or equivalent: Minimum average of 70%
- 4th Year: Minimum average of 75%
- 3rd Year: Minimum average of 80%
2. Merit with Financial Need Bursary
Awarded based on both academic merit and financial need:
- PGDA/CTA or equivalent: Minimum average of 60%
- 4th Year: Minimum average of 65%
- 3rd Year: Minimum average of 70%
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a South African citizen
- Currently completing CTA, PGDA, or equivalent in your first attempt
- Registered at a SAICA-accredited university
- Meet the minimum academic requirements listed above
- Must submit a detailed motivation letter along with supporting documents
