The Athlone Institute Trust (AIT) invites eligible South African students to submit applications for the Bursary Programme for the academic year 2025.
Bursary application closing date is 28 February 2025.
The Athlone Institute Trust (AIT) is offering bursaries for the 2025 academic year, available to students from Paarl or Mbekweni in the Western Cape or those who are parishioners at one of the five member churches of the AIT.
These bursaries cover part of the registration and tuition fees for undergraduate or postgraduate studies in any field.
Eligibility Criteria:
- South African citizen by birth.
- Reside in Paarl or Mbekweni (Western Cape) or be a parishioner at one of the following churches:
- St Stephen’s Anglican Church
- Immanuel UR Church
- Bethel United Congregational Church (UCC)
- Holy Trinity Anglican Church
- Zions Uniting Reformed Church
- Completed Matric.
- In financial need.
- Enrolled for full-time or part-time studies towards an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification for the 2025 academic year at a recognized tertiary institution (TVET College/University/University of Technology).
- Passed previous year of study (if applicable).
- Willing to participate in community service within Paarl/Mbekweni area.
- Willing to take part in the mentoring programme.
