Internship Overview

The Export Control Intern will support the Export/Import Control function by capturing and maintaining data related to applications submitted to various government regulatory authorities. The incumbent will assist the Executive Manager Export/ Import Control by ensuring that RDM complies with regulatory requirements applicable to export/ arms control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Executive Manager Export/ Import Control in coordinating all other necessary documentations for subsequent permits application for on time shipment.
  • Ensure adherence to permits conditions as stipulated in the various arms control legislations.
  • Follow up on purchase orders from New Business Development.
  • Assist with record-keeping in line with legislative requirements and company policies.
  • Support Executive Manager Export/ Import Control by ensuring subcontractors/ supplier compliance to legal prescripts as directed by the Executive Manager Export/ Import Control.
  • Capturing of data Permit Management Systems.
  • Timeous follow up on delivery verification certificates (DVC’s) and destruction certificates (DC) in line with the NCAC Act.
  • Retrieve filed permits for audits by NCACC, CIE, NPC, and other assurance providers.
  • Preparation of data in respect of end user certificates (EUC’s) in line with the contracting approval applications made.
  • Adhere to all applicable legislation within RDM.
  • Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/ Quality/ Environmental/ Energy.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree (NQF 6 or Higher) in:
  1. Supply Chain Management,
  2. Business Management
  3. Public Management
  4. or any other equivalent qualification.
