Programme Overview
The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Trainee Programme aims to provide students and recent graduates with practical workplace experience, allowing them to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world environment. This programme is designed to enhance participants’ employability by offering hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to industry-specific tasks. The WIL trainee programme is conducted over a period of 12 months.
Responsibilties
- Task Execution
- Assist in specific projects within a department or work-stream.
- Perform routine operational tasks under supervision.
- Support administrative functions, including documentation and reporting. Learning & Development
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs.
- Shadow experienced professionals to gain practical insights. Communication & Collaboration
- Interact with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to understand business needs.
- Serve as a central contact point for queries and assistance. Research & Analysis
- Conduct market research, data collection, and analysis to support business decisions.
- Prepare reports and presentations using MS Office tools. Compliance & Safety
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all tasks.

Completed all theoretical N4 to N6 for:
- Human Resource Management,
- Marketing,
- Financial Management
- Office Management.
Work Integrated Learner: Technical – Engineering
S4-S5 Completed all theoretical coursework in the following:
- Electrical Heavy Current,
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering.
In-service Training: Internship (Communication/Public Relations)
- Certified copy of qualifications/statement of results in Communication/Public Relations
In-service Training: Internship (Hospitality)
- Certified copy of qualifications/statement of results in Hospitality
Work Integrated Learner: Non Technical – Information Technology
- Completed all theoretical subjects in: Information Technology
In-service Training: Internship (Mechanical Engineering)
- Certified copy of qualifications/statement of results in Mechanical Engineering
In-service Training: Internship (Electronics Engineering)
- Certified copy of qualifications/statement of results in Electronics Engineering

- Stamped letter from Institution requesting In-service training (where applicable)
- Certified copy of South African Identity Document
