About the Production Trainee Programme:
BASF, the world’s leading chemical company, is offering a Production Trainee opportunity for individuals seeking real-world experience in a challenging production environment. Trainees will receive on-the-job training and gain exposure to daily production operations.
What you can expect:
- Participate in maintenance activities within the production department
- Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy working environment according to OSH Act & EHSQ policies
- Assist with maintaining the Quality Management System
- Place raw materials on the production floor and ensure materials are passed by Quality Control
- Operate forklifts to transport raw materials and finished products
- Conduct regular plant inspections
- Maintain safety, housekeeping, and protective equipment standards
- Operate plant machinery safely and efficiently
- Meet monthly productivity improvement targets
- Support additional tasks within production operations as required
- Comply with all BASF guidelines and procedures
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science
- Either:
- Minimum NQF Level 2 theory completed for Chemical Operators with only practical training outstanding,
- Or Completed N6 in Chemical Engineering (requiring practical training)
