Job Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a Cleaner at its Head Office in Midrand. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic and professional office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the Head Office and communal areas.
• Clean and maintain kitchens, canteens and restrooms.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are adequately stocked.
• Vacuum carpets and clean meeting and training rooms according to procedures.
• Dust desks, chairs, telephones, shelves and other office equipment.
• Dispose of refuse safely and correctly.
• Keep cleaning equipment and utensils safely stored when not in use.
• Follow health and safety regulations.
• Use wet floor signs when cleaning floors.
• Assist customers and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Communicate effectively with staff and guests.
• Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment and facilities to the team leader.
• Report low or out-of-stock cleaning and hygiene supplies.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Good cleaning skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• Customer service and communication skills.
• Trustworthy and honest.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Good time management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Additional Requirements

• South African citizen.
• Clear criminal and credit record.
• Driver’s licence and own reliable transport.

An additional South African language will be advantageous.
