Minimum Requirements

• Senior certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification)
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
• A valid driving licence (Code 8)

Key Performance Areas

• Oversee the execution of routine activities in respect of crop production
• Oversee the execution of routine activities in respect of livestock
• Oversee the execution of general farm routine activities
• Oversee the execution of general routine activities in respect of infrastructure and perform all administrative and related functions

Competencies

Knowledge and good understanding of the following:

• Livestock management record keeping
• Technical expertise and knowledge in crop production methods: irrigation, planting and fertilization
• Infrastructure maintenance: building of new fences and pipelines
• Equipment maintenance

Skills in the following:

• Computer literacy in MS Office Package ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Communication (written and verbal)
• Staff supervision
• Operational management
• Problem-solving
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
