About the Role

The Buyer’s Clerk serves as the administrative backbone of the buying and merchandise planning pod in a clothing retail environment. The role manages sample lifecycles, executes accurate SAP master data article creation, maintains pricing structures and supports both brick-and-mortar and online product launches.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 2 to 3 years practical experience within a Clothing Retail environment
• Proven track record in an administrative capacity (preferably supporting merchandise buying, planning or retail supply chain)
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (specifically SAP) and digital master data capturing sheets
• Attention to detail
• Planning and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate sample fitting sessions in line with departmental critical path
• Organise, tag and catalog prototype, fit, review and production seal samples
• Request local and indirect supplier seals timeously
• File and maintain records of lab dips, fabric strike-offs and print approvals
• Create new clothing articles and pre-pack configurations in SAP
• Audit selling prices to guarantee accurate checkout pricing
• Input and maintain import data parameters
• Update article master data indicators and list/delist transactions
• Prepare garment samples and documentation for weekly trade/sales meetings
• Coordinate product handovers to e-commerce team
• Monitor marketing and photoshoot sample inventories
• Conduct operational standstills with manufacturers and importers
