Minimum Requirements

• Matric/ Technical Matric with Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Physical Science and English (all with a minimum 40% pass), OR
• N2 or higher with all subjects as per the specific Discipline requirements below
• Boilermaker: Plating & Structural Steelwork or Welders Theory, Plating Structural & Steelwork Drawings, Mathematics and Engineering Science
• Welder: Plating & Structural Steelwork/ Welders Theory and Plating Structural & Steelwork Drawings, Mathematics and Engineering Science
• Millwright: Electrical Trade Theory or Electrotechnology or Electrotechnics, Fitting Trade Theory / Mechanotechnology, Industrial Electronics, or Engineering Drawings, Mathematics and Engineering Science
• Electrician: Electrical Trade Theory or Electrotechnology or Electrotechnics, Industrial Electronics, or Engineering Drawings, Mathematics and Engineering Science
• Mechanical Fitter: Fitting Trade Theory or Mechanotechnology or Mechanotechnics, Engineering Drawings/ Draughting, Mathematics and Engineering Science
• Instrument Mechanician: Instrument Trade Theory or Industrial Instrument, Industrial Electronics, Mathematics and Engineering Science
• Rigger: Rigging trade theory, Engineering Drawings/ Draughting, Mathematics and Engineering Science
• NCV Level 4 in an appropriate trade, with all subjects passed with a minimum of 40%
