Transnet invites recently qualified South African artisans to apply for the Work Integrated Technical Learner Programme 2026/2027 in Carpentry. The programme runs for 24 months and gives you practical workplace experience, hands-on training, mentorship and exposure to industry-related duties.

Minimum Requirements

• Carpentry Trade Test Certificate
• Trade test completed within the past four years
• Between 18 and 35 years old
• Less than one year of work experience

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems
• Follow safety regulations
• Maintain tools and equipment
• Record work completed
• Report to supervisors
