Valterra Platinum, formerly Anglo American Platinum, is a leading primary producer of platinum group metals (PGMs) with integrated mining, smelting, and refining operations in South Africa and Zimbabwe. Valterra Platinum needs a fixed-term Engineering Assistant at its Mogalakwena North Concentrator in Mokopane to support artisans and engineering foremen.

Requirements
- Grade 12 with Maths and Science, or N3 Electrical
- Qualification documents must be attached
- Electrical experience (advantageous)
- Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
- Must be a South African Citizen
- No Criminal Record
- Must pass the relevant psychometric assessment
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills in English
Key Responsibilities
- Assist artisans with all trades
- Control tools, materials and workshop equipment
- Load and dispatch material to work sites
- Follow safety standards and good housekeeping
- Ensure tool availability
- Follow work instructions
- Apply recognised work and safety standards
- Ensure tasks are completed to required quality standards
- Report any safety related issues to the artisan or full-time safety rep
