Purpose of the SHE Internship
The SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) Internship is designed to equip the trainee with practical workplace experience in the SHE field. Interns will work closely with Unilever’s SHE Department to support compliance, safety procedures, training, and continuous improvement in health and environmental management.
Minimum Requirements
- Completed qualification in:
- Safety Management
- Occupational Health
- Environmental Management or Science
- South African citizen
- No previous SHE internship experience required
Key Responsibilities
- Update and maintain SHE procedures
- Assist with Risk Assessments and Aspect/Impact evaluations
- Support incident investigations and corrective action implementation
- Maintain action trackers and compile SHE statistics
- Plan and arrange SHE-related training with facilitators
- Conduct contractor SHE inductions
- Attend meetings and communicate changes via noticeboards and screens
- Lead 2 personal SHE projects to develop skills and improve site compliance
