About CEF
The Central Energy Fund (CEF) is a Schedule 2 state‑owned, diversified energy company reporting to the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE). Its mandate is to secure South Africa’s energy supply through exploration, development, acquisition, marketing, and strategic partnerships.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Matric certificate and an N6 qualification in one of the following fields:
- Human Resource Management
- Public Administration
- Business Management
- Supply Chain / Logistics
- Financial Management
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- A letter from your institution confirming completion of theoretical studies and the need for in‑service training
- Age: 16–25 years
- South African citizenship
- Not currently enrolled in another in‑service training or internship programme
Desired Competencies
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly and multitask
- Good communication skills
