Clinical Technologist Intern: Cardiovascular – Medtronic

As a Clinical Technology Intern in the Commercial team, you will work alongside experienced colleagues to build your clinical, technical and customer engagement skills while contributing to better access to innovative healthcare technologies. Requirements
- Currently in the final year of studies, with graduation expected in 2026/2027, or recently completed studies
- A Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Technology or a National Diploma in Clinical Technology, specialisation in Cardiology
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
- Able to travel to support customer needs
- Must be currently unemployed
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be under the age of 30
- Must not have participated in a YES programme previously
- Should not be currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in postgraduate studies
- Commits to complete 12-month internship
Would be a Plus:
- Driver’s licence
- Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn medical technologies across relevant therapy areas
- Proactive team player with problem-solving and organisational skills
Key Responsibilities
- Support commercial growth within assigned accounts and the broader territory
- Provide clinical and technical support before, during and after procedures
- Assist with case preparation, product demonstrations, installations and first-line product support, as appropriate to the role
- Respond to technical and application-related queries from sales colleagues and external stakeholders
- Help deliver on-site education, consultation and customer follow-up while following Medtronic policies and hospital protocols
