Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Grade 12, Matric, NQF Level 4 or N3 qualification
- A minimum of three years of appropriate experience within a hospital environment
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of inventory management
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management policies and procedures
- Knowledge of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and relevant procurement regulations
- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act
- Knowledge of National Treasury Regulations
A Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Public Administration or Public Management will be an added advantage.
At least one year of experience in Supply Chain Management will also be advantageous.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Material Recording Clerk will provide administrative and inventory support within Supply Chain Management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support to Supply Chain Management operations
- Posting VA2 and performing the necessary transactions
- Updating VA10 and VA8 tally cards to maintain accurate inventory records
- Monitoring inventory lists and maintaining stock accuracy
- Issuing stock weekly through internal stock summaries
- Maintaining minimum and maximum stock reorder levels
- Maintaining calculated average costs for inventory receipts
- Assisting with the compilation of demand plans based on end-user requirements
- Replenishing stock while adhering to appropriate precautionary stock quantities
- Compiling monthly reports on stock issued
- Participating in bi-annual stocktaking exercises in March and September
- Maintaining accurate inventory records in line with Supply Chain Management policies and procedures
- Assisting with asset verification
- Performing other lawful duties assigned by a supervisor or manager
The successful applicant must also be flexible and willing to be deployed or rotated across different sections within Supply Chain Management when required.
