Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have Grade 12 / Standard 10 with an E symbol or 40% and higher in:

English.

Mathematics.

Please note that Mathematical Literacy is not applicable.

Applicants with NCV Level 4 may also apply, provided all subjects were passed with an E symbol or 40% and higher.

Applicants who passed Grade 12 / Standard 10 at a Technical High School must have the following subjects:

Trade Theory.

English.

Mathematics.

Science.

Technical Drawing.

All subjects must be passed with an E symbol or 40% and higher.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must have a minimum N2 qualification with all four trade subjects.

For the Plater / Boilermaker field, applicants must have Structural Steel Drawings as one of the four required subjects.

Applicants must be successful in the selection process.

Applicants must reside within reasonable proximity to Matla Coal.

Proof of residence is required.

Successful candidates will be responsible for personal performance in accordance with the training programme.

Learners must commit to company rules and regulations.
