Finance Management 2025 Internships

Renosterberg Municipality invites unemployed South African graduates to apply for the Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme (MFMIP) for a two-year contract.

Internship Application Closing Date: 03 June 2025
Location: Renosterberg Municipality, Petrusville, Northern Cape, South Africa
Stipend: Between R80,000 – R100,000 per annum (all-inclusive and dependent on year of internship)


Requirements

  • Must hold at least a three-year Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma
  • Majors must include:
  • Must be between 21 and 35 years old
  • Will be required to sign an internship agreement in addition to the employment contract
  • Commitment to educational and workplace assignments, and compliance with policies

Internship Overview

The MFMIP is a structured training and work experience programme that provides practical exposure to all aspects of Municipal Budget and Treasury Office operations. It is governed by the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) and aims to enhance financial management capacity within local government.

Training includes:

  • Financial management tasks
  • Municipal systems exposure
  • Skills development aligned with Minimum Competency Regulations (Gazette 29967)
