General Worker – RCL Foods

RCL Foods is recruiting for a driven, highly energized and operationally focused General Worker within the baking business unit. The suitable candidate will be responsible for driving a promotional truck or other vehicle over planned routes or within an established territory as per the planned activation schedule.
This role will be based in Durban and reporting to the Production Manager. This role is a fixed-term contract.

Requirements
- Matric
- Basic baking exposure and loading exposure
- Previous manufacturing and bakery experience an advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Do operational start-up checks as per Operational Checks SOP
- Report any irregularities or issues to the team leader
- Report any breakdowns or machine issues at start-up, during the day and end of shift to team leader
- Ensure all equipment and utensils are looked after and managed as per Utensils and Equipment Management SOP
- Work in accordance with all company standard operating procedures
- Ensure at the end of each shift before leaving the department, the area is clean and tidy
- Ensure before leaving your workstation, a handover is conducted with the next shift
- Adhere to ‘clean as you go’ principles
