Gert Sibande District Municipality invites unemployed South African youth graduates to apply for the Infrastructure Skills Development (ISDG) Graduate Programme 2025, a structured 36-month training opportunity in collaboration with National Treasury.

Location: Gert Sibande District Municipality, Mpumalanga, South Africa
Duration: 3-Year Fixed-Term Contract
Target Group: Unemployed graduates aged 18–35
Available Disciplines and Minimum Qualifications
1. Land Surveying – 3 Posts
- ND / BTech / BSc in Land Surveying or Geomatics
2. Geographic Information System (GIS) – 2 Posts
- BSc in Geomatics / Geo-Informatics or BSc (Hons) Geo-Informatics
- Note: Academic records must be attached
3. Town and Regional Planning – 3 Posts
- BSc or Honours in Town & Regional Planning / Urban and Regional Planning
4. Civil Engineering – 3 Posts
- ND / BEng / BSc / BTech in Civil Engineering
5. Environmental Science Practitioner – 2 Posts
- B Degree in Environmental Management / Environmental Science
6. Natural Sciences – 4 Posts
- BTech / BSc / BSc (Hons) in Natural Sciences with specialisation in:
- Chemistry
- Microbiology Science
- Environmental Science
- Geo-Hydrology
Eligibility Criteria
- South African citizen with a valid SA ID
- Must be unemployed and under the age of 35
- Code 08 driver’s license will be an added advantage
- Qualification must be relevant for professional registration with a statutory council
- Must not have participated in a similar programme before
- Preference will be given in line with Employment Equity
Mentor Position Available
Mentor: Environmental Science
- Remuneration: R1600.00/hour for 12 hours per graduate per month
- B Degree in Environmental Science / Environmental Management
- Registration with SACNASP
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience
- Proven mentoring ability and computer literacy
