Internal Audit and Finance Internship 2026 – Kamiesberg Municipality
Kamiesberg Municipality invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for the Internal Audit and Finance Internship 2026 within the Finance Department. The successful intern will mainly be trained within the municipality’s Financial Division to ensure that they develop the necessary practical knowledge and expertise.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Internal Auditing, Finance or a related field)
- Relevant studies that include Accounting, Economics, Finance, Risk Management or Auditing
- Computer literacy
- Good communication skills
- Must be between 21 and 35 years old
Internship Agreement
The successful candidate will be required to enter into:
- An internship agreement with Kamiesberg Municipality
- An employment contract with the municipality
Main Duties
The successful intern will mainly be trained within the Kamiesberg Municipality Financial Division. The internship is intended to help the candidate develop practical knowledge and experience in areas related to:
- Finance
- Internal auditing
- Accounting
- Risk management
- Municipal financial administration

Important: Applicants must use the prescribed Kamiesberg Municipality application form. A Z83 form must not be used. Applicants must also clearly indicate the position they are applying for. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
