About the Pharmacist Internship Programme 2026
The Department of Health in Limpopo is offering 152 Pharmacist Internship positions for the 2026 intake. Successful candidates will be placed in public hospitals and facilities across the province, with the aim of providing practical training and experience in line with the requirements of the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
Stipend: R440,226.00 per annum
Start Date: March 2026 (anticipated)

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or latest academic results from the university
- Registered as a Pharmacy student with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- South African citizen
- Completed and signed Z83 application form
- Comprehensive CV
- Certified ID copy
Knowledge and Skills
- Proficient in written and verbal communication
- Good report presentation and computer literacy
- Knowledge of the Pharmacy Act (No. 53 of 1974) and Medicines and Related Substances Act (No. 101 of 1965)
- Strong record-keeping skills
Key Performance Areas
- Provide services or acts within the scope of a Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic) under direct supervision
- Perform duties under the guidance of a registered pharmacist for education and training purposes
