Internship Overview

Mintek is offering an exciting internship within the Finance Division. The successful candidate will assist with the preparation and administration of RFQs and tenders, support the supplier registration and database management processes. The candidate will assist with procurement record keeping and document management and administration of briefing sessions and tender evaluations.

Responsibilities

Policy & Compliance:

• Procure goods and services in line with the government framework.
• Keep abreast of changes in the legislative environment and propose amendments to the procurement policy and procedure to align.
• Monitor compliance of internal and external stakeholders with procurement policy, procedures and legislative framework.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Engage internal and external auditors when required.

Sourcing:

• Assisting with the preparation and administration of RFQs and tenders.
• Supporting the supplier registration and database management processes.
• Assisting with procurement record keeping and document management.
• Assisting with the administration of briefing sessions and tender evaluations.
• Supporting the preparation of procurement reports and submissions to Bid Committees.
• Providing general administrative support to the SCM team.

Reporting:

• Compile monthly and quarterly reports.
• Open Purchase Requisitions
• Open Purchase Orders
• Ad-hoc reports as requested by the Ad-hoc reports as requested by Head SCM and Divisional Manager.

Requirements

• BCom / B-Tech (NQF level 7) in: Supply Chain Management (SCM) / Logistics / Purchasing or equivalent
• Ideal: Honours (NQF Level 8)
• Excellent academic record 60% average
