About the Internship
The Finance Management Internship Programme (MFMIP) is a structured two-year programme offering high-quality training and workplace experience in municipal finance. It is designed to build capacity in the financial management functions of municipalities and is guided by the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), Act 56 of 2003.
Position Details:
- Position: Finance Management Grant Intern (x1)
- Department: Office of the Municipal Manager
- Stipend: R91,275.60 per annum
- Duration: 2 Years
Minimum Requirements:
- A three-year Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma with majors in:
- Internal Auditing
- Accounting
- Risk Management and/or Auditing
- Must be between the ages of 21 and 35
- Will be required to sign an internship agreement in addition to the employment contract
- Commitment to full participation in educational and workplace assignments
- Understanding and adherence to workplace policies and procedures
