Are you a recent South African graduate eager to break into the medical aid administration industry? PPS Healthcare Administrators (PPSHA) is offering a 12-month Internship Programme designed to equip you with real-world experience across key business units.
Minimum Requirements
- South African citizens aged 18–35 years
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification
- Completed a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree, National Diploma or Honours in:
- Commerce / Accounting
- Information Technology
- Clinical Medical Associate
- BCur in Nursing (Bachelor of Nursing Science)
- Fluent in English (additional SA languages are advantageous)
- Present a professional image with time management and admin skills
- Not currently employed or part of another internship
- Basic computer literacy and ability to work under pressure
Duties and Responsibilities
- Exposure to medical aid correspondence, claims assessment, and member subscriptions
- Participate in clinical administration, underwriting, and new member applications
- Support various business units
- Participate in formative and summative assessments
- Act as a PPSHA ambassador ensuring excellent customer service
- Gain practical work experience
- Develop technical and professional skills
- Build networks within the medical aid industry
- Receive mentorship and guidance
