Internship Overview
This Learnership program is designed to create opportunities for unemployed matriculants to gain practical workplace experience and career in banking. The Learnership is being offered as part of the Bank SETA Discretionary Funding for Banks and contributing members to the Bank SETA. Postbank is partaking in this learnership program and is excited to work with matriculants looking to kick start their careers in banking.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day entry level operations tasks and administrative duties
- Support wherever deployed for service which may include call Centre and other departmental initiatives in the operations
- Capture, update, and maintain records
- Prepare correspondence, and documentation
- Participate in training, workshops, and development activities
- Adherent to company policies, procedures, and professional standards
- Perform any other duties relevant to the internship and learning objectives
- Attending classes for the theoretical learning component
- Successfully complete formative and summative assessment and POE (Portfolio of Evidence)
Requirements
- Grade 12, Certificate (NQF Level 4)
- Basic Computer Literacy Operational / Foundational
- South African citizen
- Unemployed Matriculant with no or limited work experience (0-6 months)
- Application will be considered for candidates who explicitly indicate their base location as Bloemfontein and surrounding location only.
- Willingness to be enrolled onto the Senior Certificate in Banking – is mandatory
Knowledge and understanding of:
- Basic functional and applied knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point
- Should be able to engage and interact in English.
- Good communication and influencing skills
- Hands-on-approach to work
