Learnership Overview
The 12-Month Learnership Programme is designed to empower South Africa’s previously disadvantaged youth by providing an opportunity to gain anationally recognised Short-Term Insurance qualification at NQF Level 5.
The programme combines structured theoretical learningwith practical workplace experience, enabling learners to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to build a successful career within the insurance industry. Participants will receive hands-on exposure to a professional working environment while working towards their accredited qualification.
Key responsibilities
- Process all work allocated within the required quality, accuracy, and productivity standards, contributing to the effective operation of the department and broader business objectives.
- Deliver a high standard of service to both internal and external customers in accordance with company service standards and agreed service level requirements.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders, ensuring that queries and requests are responded to timeously and resolved where possible at the first point of contact.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and industry regulations at all times.
- Develop and apply product, process, and industry knowledge through on-the-job learning, training interventions, and workplace experience.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to achieve departmental and organisational goals.
- Maintain high levels of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality when handling customer and company information.
- Take ownership of personal development and successfully complete all learnership assessments, training activities, and workplace requirements.
- Perform any other duties reasonably required to support business operations and learning objectives within the scope of the learnership programme.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics
- A post-Matric qualification in any field of study.
- The following qualifications will be advantageous:
- A certificate, diploma, or degree in Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or a related Information Technology field;
- or A Drone Operations or related Drone Technology certification;
- or A certificate, diploma, degree in Law;
- May have an incomplete tertiary qualification
- Possess basic computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- No work experience required
- Not be engaged in post-Matric studies or formal employment
- Not have completed any previous learnership
- Be between the ages of 18 and 30 years
- Have effective written and verbal communication skills in English
- Be a South African citizen by birth
