Msinga Municipality invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for the Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme 2025

About the Internship

Msinga Municipality has five (5) internship vacancies for the Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme (MFMIP) based in Tugela Ferry. This is a 24-month contract designed to provide graduates with structured professional training and practical experience in all aspects of a municipal Budget and Treasury Office.

Remuneration: R100,000 per annum


Requirements for the Post

  • three-year Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) with majors in:
  • Must be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Must sign an employment and internship agreement, committing to full participation in training and work assignments

Internship Overview

  • The MFMIP is governed by the Municipal Finance Management Act, Act 56 of 2003
  • Offers high-quality practical experience and builds on university-acquired competencies
  • Ends with a qualification in Municipal Finance Management in line with the Municipal Regulations on Minimum Competency Levels, Gazette 29967 of 15 June 2007
