About the Internship
Msinga Municipality has five (5) internship vacancies for the Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme (MFMIP) based in Tugela Ferry. This is a 24-month contract designed to provide graduates with structured professional training and practical experience in all aspects of a municipal Budget and Treasury Office.
Remuneration: R100,000 per annum
Requirements for the Post
- A three-year Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) with majors in:
- Accounting
- Economics
- Financial Management
- Risk Management
- Auditing (or related disciplines)
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old
- Must sign an employment and internship agreement, committing to full participation in training and work assignments
Internship Overview
- The MFMIP is governed by the Municipal Finance Management Act, Act 56 of 2003
- Offers high-quality practical experience and builds on university-acquired competencies
- Ends with a qualification in Municipal Finance Management in line with the Municipal Regulations on Minimum Competency Levels, Gazette 29967 of 15 June 2007
