KwaZulu-Natal Department of Community Safety invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for Graphic Design Graduate Internship Programme 2025.

Internship Overview

• Duration: 24 months
• Stipend: R7,450.75 per month
• Starting Date: 1st March 2025

Requirements

To be eligible for this graduate internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Qualification:
   • A degree or diploma in Graphic Design or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
2. Age:
   • Between 18 and 35 years old.
3. Experience:
   • Must have no prior work experience.
4. Internship History:
   • Applicants should not have previously participated in any graduate internship programme.

Key Duties

The selected intern will be responsible for:

• Creating Visual Content: Design graphics for both digital and offline platforms (e.g., websites, print adverts, digital posters, logos, and videos).
• Concept and Layout Design: Conceptualize and design layouts based on feedback and requirements.
• Design Production: Develop overall layouts for banners, brochures, and other promotional materials.
• Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks within the Communications sub-directorate.

Required Documents

1. Completed Z83 form (available from government institutions).
   • Ensure it’s the latest Z83 form (2023 version), fully completed and initialed on each page.
2. Detailed CV: Highlight your qualifications, skills, and any relevant experience.
3. Signed Affidavit from a commissioner of oaths confirming unemployment status and that you have not previously benefited from an internship programme.
4. Proof of Residence: This can be an electricity bill, retail statement, or affidavit from a local councillor.
