Contract Duration: 24 months
Monthly Stipend: R10 441.14


About the Electoral Commission Internship

The Electoral Commission, a Chapter 9 institution tasked with strengthening democracy, is offering a 24-month internship for unemployed graduates with a qualification in Logistics. This is a rare opportunity to gain work experience in a vital constitutional body while contributing to South Africa’s electoral processes.

Position: Warehousing & Logistics Intern

Key Training Areas:

  • Receiving and dispatching election materials
  • Drafting specifications
  • Engaging with suppliers and service providers
  • Warehousing, inventory and material management
  • By-elections and corporate elections operations
  • Party Liaison Committee activities
  • Delimitation and other Electoral Matters projects

General Administrative Support:

  • Minute taking and report writing
  • Preparing presentations and handling enquiries
  • Filing, records management, and document distribution
  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 / N3 / NTC Level 4
  • Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Logistics from a recognised institution
  • postgraduate qualification in Logistics or Project Management is an added advantage

  • Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders and internal teams
