About the Apprenticeships
This programme addresses critical skills shortages while opening doors for local youth into sustainable, in-demand trades. Over three years you will:
- Attend theoretical training at an accredited institution
- Gain on-the-job practical experience under supervision
- Receive comprehensive trade-test preparation leading to artisan qualification

Minimum Qualifications
- N3 / Grade 12 (NSC) / NCV Level 4 (or equivalent)
- Mathematics, Engineering Drawings, and relevant trade theory with a minimum 50% average
Important Notes (Read Before You Apply)
- Residence: Only candidates living within Lekwa Municipality and vicinity may apply
- Medical fitness: Must be medically fit and willing to undergo medical exams, alcohol & drug testing, working-at-heights and confined-spaces training
- Mobility: Must be flexible to relocate/transfer to other sites if needed for exposure
- Compliance: Police clearance certificate ≤ 12 months old (or proof of application) required
Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)
- Assist with routine maintenance; report irregularities promptly
- Apply production systems basics (planning, scheduling & control)
- Uphold quality control/assurance and safety standards at all times
- Support equipment setup and operation under supervision
- Maintain accurate documentation (reports, job cards, logs)
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to meet daily targets
