AVBOB Mutual Assurance Society invites South African unemployed youth to apply for the Long Term Insurance Unemployed Learnership Programme (Financial Associates) 2026.

AVBOB, in partnership with the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA), is offering a structured 12-month learnership programme aimed at developing young professionals in the long-term insurance sector.
Programme Overview
This learnership combines:
- Accredited theoretical training through an approved training provider
- Practical workplace experience at AVBOB branches
- Structured work-based learning
- Registered qualification upon successful completion
The programme is ideal for unemployed youth interested in building a career in insurance and financial services.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old
- Must have a valid Matric certificate
- Must have passed English and either Mathematics, Maths Literacy, or Accounting
- Must not have attended any previous learnerships
- Must not be registered with any academic institution or currently studying
- Must have reliable transport
- Must be willing to work in AVBOB offices within the Northern Region
Added Advantages:
- Smartphone or laptop
- Computer literacy (MS Office, email, internet)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and show initiative
Stipend and Conditions
- A monthly stipend will be paid for the duration of the 12-month programme
- Placement will be determined by the company
- Preference will be given to suitably qualified individuals from previously disadvantaged groups
