Requirements

• Grade 10 /NQF level 2 or equivalent
• No experience required

Knowledge and Skills

• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues
• Be healthy and strong, able to lift heavy objects and items, and be on your feet the entire day
• Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and a high standard of work ethic
• Basic knowledge of food service management principles and practices

Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean kitchen utensils and equipment
• Provide catering support services
• Keep stock of kitchen utensils and equipment
• Apply hygiene and safety measures
• Maintain quality control measures of all food provided
• Remove garbage and dispose of it
• Prepare food, snacks, and beverages (water, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, and cold drinks)
• Set up and convey crockery, cutlery, and equipment to dining areas
• Serve food and beverages
• Responsible for food supplies and reporting waste and losses
