Exxaro Coal Mpumalanga is inviting suitably qualified South African individuals to apply for its exciting Learnership Programme 2025 based at Matla Coal in Kriel.
This opportunity is ideal for those interested in the Plant, Mining, or Maintenance Operator fields and looking to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical workplace experience.
Fields of Training
The learnership programme is offered in the following streams:
- Plant Operator
- Mining Operator
- Maintenance Operator
Each programme consists of structured unit standard-based learningcombined with on-the-job practical experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / Standard 10 certificate
- Minimum E symbol (40% or higher) in English and Mathematics

- Must reside within reasonable proximity to Matla Coal (Proof of residence required)
