About the FUCHS SHEQ Internship

FUCHS is offering a 12-month SHEQ Internship for graduates who want to gain practical workplace experience in Safety, Health, Environment and Quality within the manufacturing industry.

The successful intern will work in an international organisation and receive continuous coaching, mentoring and on-the-job training.

Duties and Responsibilities

The SHEQ Intern will be responsible for supporting activities such as:

• Assisting with the investigation and closure of non-conformances and incidents.
• Supporting root cause analysis.
• Analysing SHEQ data.
• Assisting with SHEQ reports and dashboards.
• Monitoring SHEQ performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Developing and tracking corrective and preventive actions.
• Supporting actions arising from audits, inspections and investigations.
• Assisting with SHEQ management system activities.
• Supporting document control processes.
• Assisting with legal compliance activities.
• Participating in risk assessments and hazard identification.
• Assisting with audits and inspections.
• Supporting environmental and waste management initiatives.
• Assisting with SHEQ training.
• Supporting safety awareness and behavioural safety initiatives.
• Participating in other SHEQ departmental activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should have a Diploma or Degree in one of the following fields:

• Engineering
• Health and Safety
• Environmental Management
• Quality Management
• Related field

Skills and Knowledge Required

Applicants should have:

• Computer literacy.
• Microsoft Word skills.
• Microsoft Excel skills.
• Microsoft PowerPoint skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities.

A basic understanding of the following standards is also required:

• ISO 9001
• ISO 50001
• ISO 45001
• ISO 14001
• IATF 16949
